It’s not a final, finished product, but it’s what I have for Chapter One of Crystal Tech. Comments and critiques are welcome. I think it may need some more “meat” on it, but it has the events I want to cover in the first chapter.

The book isn’t finished, but by God we have cover art! Some set of priorities, huh? Here it is for all the world to see.
Yeah, not even close on NaNoWriMo. I did get a decent start on chapter one for Crystal Tech. 60+ hour work weeks really don’t leave a lot of time for writing, but that should settle down now.
OK, so far so bad. Work and the play have basically killed the first 10 days of NaNo and I’m just over 700 words. Not looking good. I’m still going to make a go of it. Wish me luck!
This is a play I’ve been looking forward to for some time now. I get to play Linus, who’s always been one of my favorite characters. Young, yet sage. It’s challenging.

I tried it last year, but got zilch done between the play I was in and family priorities.
This year, my play ends the 9th of November, but I should still be able to squeeze in some writing this time. I’ll keep you all abreast of how it goes. Hopefully it bears fruit this year and the spoils will be shared on Podiobooks.

Rather than try and get the recording studio and software sorted out on top of writing a script, my first project will be to record some public domain books and post them on my site and possibly Podiobooks.com.
Any requests? I’m seriously leaning toward “The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” as a starter. Plenty of good voices and it’s not too long a project.
I’ve finally acquired the microphone that I’m going to use for these projects, so my hardware needs are complete, just need to finalize the recording studio configuration. Also, I’m nailing down the particulars of the first script.
Not that anyone cares, but I’m contemplating changing the title of the adventure series to CrystalTech. It popped up making notes about the world and it refuses to leave my brain! Stay tuned for more.
Coming soon, two audio programs written and performed by yours truly.
First, a steampunk/action/adventure titled The Adventures of the Aurnia Cliona. Follow our intrepid crew of this aging airship as the search for cargo to transport, treasure to dig up, and new ways to outsmart sky pirates.
Second, a more serious drama, No Man’s Fool. Follow the story of the kingdom’s most renowned court jester as he leads a double life as a vigilante, seeking to stop the growing corruption within his homeland and avenge his disgraced and murdered family.
