I feel bad. I finished this up a month or so ago, but I usually make mention of a good Podiobook when I finish it. Faithful Warrior by Basil Sands is one such book. A great bit of action, mystery, and thriller all wrapped up in a relatively cliche-free wrapper.
I try to read as much as possible, as should you. As an aspiring author, I’m never one to turn down ideas and inspiration. There’s a common motiff in fantasy to make things epic. Save the world from the evil dark overlord. The hero must rise from humble beginnings, take up his sword, save the princess, and vanquish the darkness.
According to Charlie Stross, we do. He has a good point, it is becoming over-exposed and little pervasive.
Great, now my productivity will be reduced even further on my own works!
I made a promise to myself to not start any new podiobooks that were unfinished. I lose plot threads and storylines waiting for episodes to drop. That being said, I was thrilled beyond measure when I heard about the sequel to Shadowmagic. Needless to say…I’m dying for him to finish so I can start!
Brian Rathbone’s fantasy trilogy really is an achievement. I highly recommend it to my fellow Podiophiles. It’s a sold set…
Just knocked out the first book in Brian Rathbone’s trilogy, The Call of the Herald. I’m liking it a lot.…
Just finished Mur Laffery’s latest (and last) installment on her Heaven series, War. It’s fun and enjoyable. If you haven’t dipped your foot into the pool yet, I highly recommend it.
