Day one is off to a great start. 2035 words (or 4% of 50,000). I doubt I can keep up this pace, but if I do, I’ll be done before Thanksgiving. Dare to Dream, right?…
So, I’m bouncing from computer to computer these days, depending on location and whatnot.
For my fellow authors keeping tabs on me, I’m putting the word count over on right-hand side of the blog, along with the percentage to 70,000 and the number of chapters I’m through.
I’ve had a fair number of positive comments on the sample chapter of Crystal Tech. That said, I think I’m starting over. I’ve hit a few obsticals that are just getting me hung up and I can’t move past. I’ll enumerate them as a warning for other authors
That’s right ladies and germs, we’ve broken the half-way mark on our journey to a finished novel.
OK, I hit a streak there for a while, now I’m slacking. I want to push through it and get up to 30K in the next couple of weeks, but work and home keep conspiring to keep me away from the keyboard.
Got it, with a day to spare. I wonder if I can keep this pace up for a few more weeks. At this rate, I’ll be done by late May. Damn.
Trying to get to 20,000 words this week. Already put down 2000 on Monday (and finished Chapter Five). Going on to Chapter Six (the history of the Aurnia Cliona, which is pretty cool). Time willing, I’ll go back and doctor up Chapter One enough to practice recording.
I think I’ve settled on a goal length – 70,000 words.
Yea me! 11,131 on Crystal Tech. I’ve got a goal of at least 80,000 for the novel, so that puts me at nearly 14% done. Wow. Still along way to go, but I’m feeling charged…
