Notes, Here and There

So, I’m bouncing from computer to computer these days, depending on location and whatnot. I’ve switched to Google Docs for writing awhile back. It’s not perfect, but it works for what I need right now.

I was using OneNote for my notes, but that’s proving to be unportable. Going with EverNote right now. Seems to be working pretty good, but it’s not OneNote. Wish Google Docs had a similar tool to OneNote/EverNote.

Finally broke 12,000 words (whoopie!). Trying to push through a dry spot in the story. I’ll jazz it up later, but it’s a bit of a “training montage” part. Necessary, but not all that fun to sit through right now. Just keep swimming! Just keep swimming!

Congrats to those people that got through NaNoWriMo! I know a few people that pulled it off and I’m impressed. I need to learn to write faster and more focused.

I’m nearly done with my world map. When it’s done, I’ll throw it up for comments.

Pretty pleased that I figured out how to make maps like this in Fireworks. May have to throw up a tutorial on it, since Adobe Fireworks Tutorials are so few and far between.

NaNoWriMo…Again?

Uhoh. It’s a month and a half until NaNoWriMo. Dare I try it? Again?

Part of me does, but part of me feels like it’s too much and when I fall behind, I give up. Maybe if I get motivated in the next few weeks and get my outlines and world notes together I’ll give it a shake.

Yeah, not even close on NaNoWriMo. I did get a decent start on chapter one for Crystal Tech. 60+ hour work weeks really don’t leave a lot of time for writing, but that should settle down now.

Way Behind on NaNoWriMo

OK, so far so bad. Work and the play have basically killed the first 10 days of NaNo and I’m just over 700 words. Not looking good. I’m still going to make a go of it. Wish me luck!

NaNoWriMo – No Seriously

I tried it last year, but got zilch done between the play I was in and family priorities.

This year, my play ends the 9th of November, but I should still be able to squeeze in some writing this time. I’ll keep you all abreast of how it goes. Hopefully it bears fruit this year and the spoils will be shared on Podiobooks.
